Marley's (Wisconsin Dells, WI) - Review

by - 6:00 AM

To wrap up our last day in the Dells, we all headed over to Marley's for our last dinner together. A long day of horseback riding, go-kart riding, and even more downtown shopping calls for some good food, naturally.

Marley's is a Caribbean restaurant on one side and a night club on the other, offering up some pretty unique appetizer, drinks, and food. They've got a huge patio for outdoor dining and an even larger space inside. Our server was incredible, offering up drink specials (2 for 1 Mai Tai's!) and getting our appetizers in right away.

We all said cheers, posed for a couple instagram photos, and enjoyed our Mai Tai's! ;)

Wasn't long before our appetizers arrived...

I ordered the Shark Bites. I mean, even though it felt a little wrong, I could not pass up the opportunity to try something I couldn't get in Milwaukee. I honestly really liked them! The meat isn't as fishy or flaky as I thought it would be, but it's not as lean either. I highly recommend these, or the gator bites.

The Gator bites were also just as good, but a little more salty and chewy.

As for the main entree, a friend and I wanted to try a little of everything so we decided to split the "Big Kahuna" platter with Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, and Jerk Grouper. I thought it was awesome of them to include two dinner rolls for the both of us. It was a little too spicy for me, but the sweet coconut rice, vegetables, and side of fruit were enough to offset the spiciness. My favorite of the three was the chicken.

Overall, I liked Marley's a lot. The drinks, appetizers, food, and service were all great. I probably wouldn't try anything with the Jerk spices on them next time, but that's just my personal spicy preference. I'm also happy that I bought these nifty sunglasses from their gift shop. They're the perfect shade of yellow I've been looking for and they even fold up multiple times to about the size of one lens.

Marley's, just like MACS, has been added to our list of staple visits for our future Dells trips.
Definitely craving those shark bites and Mai Tai's right about now.

- Happy Eating!
